The Blakey School of Irish Dance offers lessons and performances across Western Canada. Our school fosters traditional Irish Dance technique, fused with modern culture.  We mentor young dancers and encourage self-confidence, strength and skill in a fun and challenging class environment.

  • Blakey had fantastic results at the North American Championships,
    held in Orlando July 3-7th:

  • 4th Place Mackenzie Mahler - World medal holder & World Qualifier
  • 10th Place Rochelle Hoffmann - World Qualifier, first time in top 10!
  • 15th Place Ben Abelseth - first recall for Ben!
  • 17th Place Julia Gee - first nationals, amazing!
  • 18th Place Devan Berg - first recall and straight to top 20!
  • 39th Place Kimmy Cooper - up 20 spots from last year!
  • 41st Place Shannon McGlone - up 40 spots from last year!
  • 51st Place Rachel Fox - first recall, great performance!
  • 58th Place Megan Harper - first recall in a tough age group, good job!
  • Congratulations to all Western Canadian dancers that placed, what a great year for our region!

  • Congratulations to Barbara Blakey on passing her Adjudicator's Examination on her first attempt!
