ABOUT BLAKEY IRISH DANCE OKANAGAN
We have studios in both Kelowna and Vernon, with classes for dancers ages 4 - 24. Beginner to Open Championship levels.
Our classes start with traditional Irish Dancing basics. Dancers are encouraged to explore rhythm and music and movement. Beginner classes are offered on a recreational basis, and dancers are invited to perform on St. Patrick's day and at a family year-end show.
Competition opportunities are available as dancers progress.

BLAKEY OKANAGAN DIRECTOR - JANICE BLAKEY TCRG
Janice is an active and certified Irish Dancing teacher (TCRG) with An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha since 2001.
Janice is the Owner/Director of all the Blakey School branches in the Okanagan Valley.
When not at the studio teaching classes Janice can be found doing contract work with her degree in Social Work. Janice has enjoyed great success in competition with her dancers watching all levels from Beginner to Championship excel greatly at both local and International competitions.
Janice resides in Kamloops with her husband Joe and kids Everett and Ellie, and travels to Kelowna and regularly attends dance events all over the world.
ASSOCIATE INSTRUCTOR - KRISTI BETSCHLER
Kristi grew up dancing under the tuition of Janice Blakey, TCRG and reached great heights as both a solo and team dancer during her competitive dance career. Kristi has been mentoring young dancers with Blakey School since 2008.
